Ya know, this guy's selling an expensive guitar and can't even include a picture? 0 feedback. Paypal protected up to 200.00. Sure, I'll send him 2.5K....

It could be a scam, though not a very good one. It's equally likely that it's totally legitimate, but he's inexperienced with ebay.

I'm with Paul T. It doesn't smell as much like a scam as it does a poor listing by an eBay newbie.... However, one would think the seller of a $2.5k guitar might do some homework.

Seriously, folks, who is going to put in an opening bid that high on this auction?

Well, He sent me 6 pics. One of the case, the rest of the guitar. It's the beige-sparkle finish. Looks nice, also looks to need frets dressed and/or replaced.

Sorry Crust, I already deleted them. I'm not all that computer savvy anyway. They were huge pics, took up the entire screen, I had to scroll up and down, back and forth, but they were very close-up pic's, I could see the ruts in the first fret...deep ruts, I can't see how those could be dressed out... I also sent him another invite to post them at the OFC..It looked like a very nice guitar.

It's a #9 Brown and it's nice it is a $2k guitar and that is if you like the brown. here's the numbers......2651-94-1687-9......... We have a #7 for sale in here from a guy who is well known and has great equipment and is selling for $1900 can't beat it.
IMHO this guy is foolish to even waste his time on this auction he is overpriced like the other Brown Adamas 1 on ebay for $2,500 this guy has no feedback this can cause problems from his lack of experience........
This is not an auction but a high priced sale. If he wants dealer prices then he should start his own web site and sit on this for years and years...........

I checked his other auction. He's got a restored '88 Harley Soft Tail custom for sale. Same deal, high price, no pic's, little detail..

Steve, his starting price for a restored Softtail Custom with a new motor is very reasonable if the bike is together. The new motor alone runs about $3,000 and if it contains upgrades, it could be a lot more. Used early model Softail Customs in decent shape with low miles easily fetch $7-$10K depending upon accessories.

Yeah but would you want to send money to him if you weren't going to pick this up yourself if you bought it?? He has no visible proff that he has ever come through on a deal in his life, with zero feedback. Arrogant to say the least not have sold some or bought some items first to establish a little track record first.

Ya know?

Please refrain from being the eBay police. If you're not buying it or selling it, anything more than a link to let others see it is just bad form.

A listing is a listing and unless you have a vested interest, it's none of your damn business how someone else runs theirs.
