Wonder what the seller would list it for if it was an a/e...10% of the 1,776 run were a/e which obviously makes it more versatile and rarer. This appears to be an acoustic. As an acoustic, sometimes there is a difference in performance between non-a/e and an a/e. I have both and there appears to be no degradation with the a/e. Guys and gals, this is a great guitar. Basically an early Custom Legend with a beautiful patriotic theme (A brace, AAA spruce). Definitely worth getting when the price is appropriate. For excellent condition: ? $700-$800 for acoustic, ? $800-1,100 for the a/e. Not part of the Collector's series but still considered the 1976 Collectors as it is credited as showing Ovation that there were specific guitars that collectors desired. The '97C parlor and the Patriot are the two guitars in my living room.

When he posted his pictures, a couple of OFC'ers thought he stole my pictures. Actually, I had found pictures on a German website of the original certs that came with the guitar and had them in my gallery...since I had used his pictures, I adopted it for $720.
