Location: San Diego | I am the original owner of an Artist model 1621-1. I think I bought it in '77 or '78, just not sure which. With the exception of a scuff or two on the back and a dent on the back of the neck at the nut, which is surface and does not damage intergrity, the guitar is just beautiful.
All original and sounds like a dreadnaught. I've played this guitar with love and boogie for 30 years. Still have the original Ovation brown hardshell case though Lufthansa put a pretty memorable crack in it at the base - it still works fine, just a little ugly. Its also covered in airline baggage tags from all the world of my travels with it.
Anybody have a clue what it might be worth if I decided to sell it? |

And the pure aesthetics of a parabolic bowl, as opposed to the sharp edges of a wood box.
The joy of creating, and partaking of the creation.
Having said all that... About two-hundred and fifty bucks! [$150-$500]
Depending on the market, eBay or shop or personal sale...
And the phase of the moon!
Gee, I hope that was helpful :p |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I picked one up for a friend about a year ago for a little over $200 with case off ebay. We thought that was a really good deal. It had a couple finish cracks next to the neck. I'd figure a bit more than that. |
