It also looks like an ebony bridge; I've never seen anything but rosewood. It would be a very nice get for someone.

The Contour LX will have a lighter bowl, lighter and more readily replacable neck and inlaid epaulets. Whoever wins come over to my place and I'll provide new strings for both! Ooh, wait... HEY ANDREW! YOU NEED THIS LONGNECK!!!!!!

It's encouraging to me as an Ovation fan that this guitar didn't go cheap, because it's not a cheap guitar, it's a high-end Baritone which excels above the others. The fact that it is a mid-bowl makes it even more competitive with the LX models, especially for us 'old-school' guys... :) If I had the bucks it would on it's way to East Tennessee, and well worth it.

By my comment, I was judging by the last prices I've seen the longnecks go for. I see this was a very nice example, but I've bought textured top Adamas's for less than that. I was seriously considering bidding on this one, but when it went past 700, I gave up watching it.

The only Longneck on ebay, and a high-quality model at that... still wish I'd had the bucks for it, always curious about the sound of the midbowl since they discontinued the ds768.
