James, the T-bolts are fun guitars to play if you play higher up the neck as they have two extra frets clear of body. They are super shallow bowl with an OP-24, so primarily designed for stage. Black ones are not especially rare, but there weren't a large number of them made. Value is relative.... I bid on this one, but have been since outbid; so, my piqued interest has peaked.

Yes, I do believe T-bolt is a 14 fretter.

I really like mine...(see my gallery)...plugged in the sound is hard to beat w/ the OP-24 electronics...the white ones always looked like Ace Frehley of KISS to me...these are way undervalued and the standard colors (White, Black, Red)have been going for under $500 typically on the Bay.

Snakeskins and Dragonskins are much more rare and go for more money (unless they are trashed).

Blessings...

14 frets clear of the body...24 in all...this one looks in fairly good shape: TLC and a neck bolt if the owner is being sincere. Great guitar for the money if it stays low. Now a case on the other hand is another story...search for my earlier posts on that subject.

Blessings...

My bad (mea culpa in Latin).... I thought the T-bolt had the same fretboard/neck as the 89 Collectors.

Thanks for the info guys. It just caught my eye. I might be better keeping my eye out for a good one, the shipping cost is the same. James

Congratulations Slydog. I was bidder5 I decided not to bid again as I really have enough on my plate and as I said previously the shipping cost to Oz is expensive and the same for a good one.
Good luck with it. James

Hey Slydog....

I'm glad you like the Thunderbolt....keep me posted on the repair to it.

If you guys are interested...I've got something a little more exotic up now...a gray burst Breadwinner Limited.
