Just had to share this, and maybe a good deal on a nice git-fiddle!

Just bought a travel trailer. I'll take this under advisement.

I was just thinking about this guy while I was waiting for the bus...
(That image was still stuck in my mind, thank you!)
I can play E, Em, A, Am, C, D, G, Fmaj7 without my index finger. (I just tried to make sure.)
I'm sure that I could figure-out how to bar Am-shaped bars without a finger tip, for Bm's and such.
I'm sure I would try real hard to find a way to do E-shaped bars. Maybe with my thumb on the sixth string.

My point being, I would not wanna just quit playing because of that (yucky) accident.
I wouldn't just quit! I would see it as a challenge.

And I coulda lived without the image of the finger!
[But I'd like the guitar... Would I always think of the finger?]

my guitar teacher has 4 fingers in his left hand (he lost middle finger) and he still plays and he's playing better and cleaner than me.

I had a friend in school, had no thumb on his left hand, played guitar better than anyone we knew... he died tragically in a boating accident last year..he was an incredible musician and composer..

I lost the pad on my right ring finger when a large marble monument fell on it and I instinctively pulled away. I can definitely feel this guy's pain. I was much more fortunate however, in that I didn't lose the bone. My hand surgeon just high-pressure irrigated it and left it to grow back (yes THAT hurt also with no anesthesia). I was amazed that it in fact grew back. It looks a little like it should be a toe though (: Sorry ... I won't be posting pictures though.

Oh yeah ... My guitar playing hasn't improved much as a result of that either.

I smashed my index finger real good a couple years ago. I can still feel the scar tissue underneath, and still hurts with certain chords.

That listing is way to long winded. By the end I didn't even care anymore, I just wanted to move on. Just say "I lost my finger tip in an accident and can't play anymore - Heres the guitar I'm selling...."

Oh, and leave out the nasty pics to..

Yeah, you're right. By the time you get finished reading the novel and getting grossed out by the pictures, you forget all about the guitar.
