I have to admit; if I really was terribly worried about this bass never selling or was in a financial bind right now this would not be nearly as funny but as of this morning this real nice Ovation Acoustic Bass was still unchanged at $26.00. The price of $26 is kinda funny, it has been looked at so many times you would think someone might be able to use it for a shovel for $27.00 perhaps a sled? The case would make a good coffin for the family pet when that time comes for $28? I am selling a few things but this bass makes me laugh when I see it. I is like a train wreck in slow motion.............just facinating. By the way I think it was Miles that mentioned it a while back..............I explained that overseas, buyers need to email me first, I had a couple just bid and one from Itally who has not emailed me yet.?? Ebay is the place............God help us all...........!

In my opinion, a BIN price that is so far off from the opening bid wards off the tire kickers and attracts fewer actual bidders. What is the reason for starting bids so low when it is apparent that it is going to take a LOT more to win it. Don't low starting prices usually go with no-reserve auctions?

I'm not being critical; just not surprised you don't have more bids and the bid price is still low, though it's nearly tripled since your original post.

Cost less to list it this way and if anyone is actually interested they'd place a $500 bid or more anyway. I mean, come on, it has a reserve and I think the BIN price gives those who have no clue an idea of the value. With this said the value is so out of whack on ebay it's hard to say if this will ever sell but a bid of $25.....???? people must think if the bids stay below $50 they can email me and get me to sell it for $60 bucks or something??
Now I did the same thing with the Custom Legend I am selling and this one has had actual bids for the past 4 days like it should. Weather it will hit my reserve or not is another question but at least the bidders are not insulting me.

Ebay.............it is a monster thatcha just can't ingnore.

Now that was funny, this has been up on the the block from time to time, and it never made the reserve. This time it went BIN to Jolly old England.

Ebay...........an anything can happen kinda place!

Anything both can and does happen on eBay. Congrats on a successful sale! Sellers willing to ship overseas can really benefit from the weak dollar, just as overseas buyers find buying in the States is a relative bargain right now.
