A rarity in that condition.
Seems expensive to me.

Agreed, especially since the one I posted about on this thread appears minty and has an $800 asking price.

The value of $2995 today is about $835 in 1976 dollars. A collector will know that and buy accordingly. This guitar is beautiful. I doubt there is another one like it anywhere.

The real impressive thing to me is that he has the original 30 year old shipping box !!!

There have been a number of these for sale on ebay over the last few years, some in the same pristine condition as this one for a lot less money. But whay do I know, I'm not the price police.

Some people buy cars, store them away and never drive them and then try to sell them as collectors. I'm not that into collecting stuff for the purpose of collecting stuff.

CWK sold me #76 for an insanely fair price, and it's pristine. The black tape is peeling in one place on the case, but the guitar is perfect. No way would I pay $3K +! Still it's a mad planet out there, so who knows if someone has some lottery winnings burning a hole in there pocket.
