For Sale !967 Ovation Josh White Shiny Bowl in good all original condition. Belongs to a friend of mine and I sold this to him from a music store in 1967. Besides a few scratches there is an area about 1 1/4" long x 1/4' wide on the back where the finish is gone from a bump. It doesn't affect the structure of the guitar as it is still strong in this area. Top has a good finish with no cracks. Plays and sounds great. $800.00 plus shipping. Comes with a soft shell fiber case

Why do so many of these have replaced bridges?

At least it's a nice five-point repro...the later bridges just don't look right on these guitars .

I wasn't commenting about this specific guitar. Just in general it seems like this model shows up more often than not with a replaced bridge.

This is the original bridge on this guitar. The bubu on the back of the guitar is really magnified about 10 times and is not nearly as bad as it looks but I wanted to show it as best I could. It is no wider than the thickness of a lead Pencil and an a little over an inch long. THANKS 2ifbyC for POSting the Pics for me.

Hey, I'm glad to assist. I almost didn't post the last pic due to the ambiguity of the shot. Ya might want to re-shoot that one with some type of a reference.

I really want a Josh, but it's just a bit down my wish list. Sure does look sweet though!

Hey, jayjay, noobie question for you; how wide is the nut? And, has it sold yet?
Thanks,

The nut measures 1.84 inches, which is slightly less than 1 7/8" As of now it is not sold but I have to call one interested buyer tomorrow. Thanks for asking jayjay

That looks like a standard shaped replacement bridge to me. My eyes don't see a 5-point braz bridge. Maybe it came for the factory like that? Seems unlikely, though.
