have upgraded to bone or Tusq saddles and nuts?

If ya have, please describe the diff.

I've done this using Tusq on my first daughter's Yama SJ-180 and my Tacoma DR-20. I definitely perceived a more 'vivid' sound and extended sustains.

Should I consider such an upgrade with my 'O's?

Dang it, I posted in the wrong forum... :(

I have upgraded most of the guitars I repair for other people. Bone is rigid and bright and transfers very well. I have used tusq on several guitars and have found it very consistant and evenly balanced. If you have acoustic ovations, I would definately recommend replacing the plastic saddles with either material. It will make a big difference in your sound.
