Joined: March 2006 Posts: 1634 Location: Chehalis, Washington | I posted this up on the AGF but figured I'd put it forth for my OFC brethren as well. Not an O, but sweet nonetheless... My custom Cornerstone project demands that I sell a couple of my other guitars before the end of the year, so I'm toying with selling this one. I'm testing the waters for selling this one now, since it really wouldn't kill me to keep a hold of it. I bought this a couple months back from a friend. It's a 2007 model with very little playing time, originally bought by someone who was going to learn how to play, then decided it was too difficult. I've played it for maybe 15 to 20 hours total, and it is always stored in its case. Soundwise it is one of the most amazing guitars I have played. I'm not typically an EIR fan, but between the woods and construction of this guitar the sound is incredible. Strong, deep, and balanced, the sound is sweet and warm, and projects so well that unplugged I've been able to hear it over my buddy's 414 amplified! I don't know if it's indicitave of the whole line or just this guitar, but it's pretty incredible. Specs from the Larrivee website: All Solid wood Construction, Single Piece Mahogany Neck, Canadian Sitka Spruce Sound Board & Bracing, African Ebony Fretboard & Bridge, Canadian Maple Multi-Strip Body Binding, Rosewood Back & Sides, Symmetrical Parabolic X-Bracing, Hand fit Dovetail Neck Joint, Abalone Rosette, Pearl Logo w/ Sterling Silver Border, Ping Tuners w/ Black Knobs (18:1 Ratio), Ivoroid Fretboard Binding, Larrivee Custom Beveled Pickguard, Microdot Fretboard Markers, Limited Lifetime warranty, Arch-top Case, L.R. Baggs iMix Notch System (Dual Source). Even though this is listed as the iMix, this particular guitar is fitted with the B-Band A2.2 preamp system, which is hands-down about the most incredible preamp I've used. The ability to tweak the ouput tone is an invaluable asset, as it allows the guitar to adapt even more to the player's style. I'm getting the same system in my Cornerstone, and it is definitely an upgrade over the standard LR Baggs. I'll take some pics later and post them, hopefully tonight. Doing taxes and all that fun stuff... These list at $3199 with the standard preamp, store price around $2500 - I'd like to get $1800, shipped & insured to CONUS. I can and will ship internationally, and accept either Postal MO or Paypal. Check my ebay feedback on 'edensharvest' for verification if needed. Email or PM for more info. It played sweetly and was one of the most beautiful and beautifully made acoustics I've ever seen. The abalone inlay work in these guitars is almost the price of admission alone. While I'm on the subject, I've always wondered why Martin has never done much MOP inlay. I like how their guitars sound but most are about as attractive as a screen door. The Larrivee, by contrast, is the first guitar I've actually been tempted to just put on a stand and display because it was so pretty. But it always went back in the case when not being played.

The rosewood and spruce both have excellent grain to them, and the maple binding is incredible. It's really hard to imagine that this isn't a major $$$$ instrument the way it's built. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Enjoy... ;)
