THis Fender used to be mine. It was built around 1975 in Japan. It has a solid spruce top, with a gorgeous dark tight grained rosewood back, sides, and headstock veneer (With nicely done mother of pearl Fender logo inlay). It's had an undersaddle pickup added, but there is no preamp, it's straight through. As for the sound, it's very balanced, the top has opened up nicely over the past 30+ years. As for the condition, it's in VERY good shape. THere are no major dings or defects of any sort on it. It looks like a guitar that's 2 or 3 years old, not 30+ He'd like to have an older used deep bowl (He really likes my 1117) but with electronics. I'm pretty sure I can get $300-$350 locally on Craigslist, so looking for something comparable value. Old Balladeer maybe? Doesn't need to be in perfect shape likr this Fender, but would like it in decent shape, playing wise especially. I'll have some old pics posted in a few minutes, and I'll post new updated ones later.

I'll never forget the look on my daughter's face when I got her Ovation for Christmas. The pics are in my gallery. Bring your son to Miles' for the 4th. We're really a pretty tame group. I brought my daughter to one and there was a 17 year old guy that used to post here. He had just started playing and started playing a few licks on an electric. He sure wowed me. Your son could drive you home.

Yes, Miles has met Zach, and if he's in town, he'll be along. I might be shipping him off to family for a month for harvest. So he can see what real work is like :D (not that his father would ever do any of that stuff). It all depends on when they decide to start cuttin' this year. He's excited about this weekend too. His big present was to be 3 steats from the stage at the Rush concert this Saturday. Every day he's been giving me a count on how many days are left. D

As it is, he's borrowing the extra money he needs for the CL from me of course. I told him it's mine till he pays it off! ;) He's pretty excited about having a guitar that's worthy of a spot up front with the others.
