| This was posted up a few weeks ago, and due to more GAS and its typical pains, here it is again with reduced price! I just recently got this back from CT with brand new frets & a general refresh. Here's some pics & info: * 1998 CE778-CCB Custom Elite (PRE-FENDER) * Deep bowl w/cutaway * AAA Spruce top * Cherry burst finish * 1 11/16" nut, 5-piece neck * Abalone body, rosette, fretboard inlays * Ebony fingerboard, bridge * Multi-piece wood epaulets * Optima preamp w/tuner, XLR & 1/4" outputs * Original Ovation hardshell case As I mentioned, this just came back from a trip to the factory. It had a couple minor issues, the biggest of which was a slight separation between the bowl and body binding on one edge, which has been reglued and sprayed so that I can't even tell where it was. No issue now. Electronics were checked out, and frets dressed & leveled. Cosmetically this only has one issue, and that is a small finish check running about 1.5" along the lower right bout of the guitar. The techs at Ovation glued & polished it so that there should be no spreading or further issue, but up close you can see it. It doesn't photograph well, but I highlighted it as well as I could in one of the pics. This of course has the Optima preamp with the 1/4" and XLR outputs, which in my opinion is still by far the BEST preamp system ever put into an acoustic guitar. Built-in tuner, notch, and 3-channel EQ. The sound through the balanced XLR output is amazing! Asking $850 shipped in the lower 48, international available as well. Note - this is one of the pre-LX Ovations, as well as long before the Fender buyout and MADE IN THE USA!!! PM or email me with questions.        | |||
