There's a shallow bowl 12 String Adamas II on eBay.

But seems a bit strange to me, one of the reasons for the booming sound of the texture top Adamii was the deep bowl.

you'd be surprised how good the 1885s sound, I hate to say it Richard, but that shallow bowl textured top would have your w597 cowering in a corner.

the 1885 is a really nice TT Adamas, and that is a more than fair price.

Yes she is!
And the guitar is a great one: I used to own a black one in the late 90's...this is a rare color and a great price!

Unplugged or plugged, Glenn? I'm playing with the idea of a 12 string but don't know squat about shallow bowls. Especially Adamas.
Does a shallow bowl Adamas sound full acoustically or is the 1885 more of a "plugged in" model? Of course this is a subjective question but I am interested in how people who have played one feel about the sound.

Any others here who may have experience with the 1885 and would share an opinion on the(acoustic) sound?

Otto

Otto,

I have an 1881, and while it can't keep up with the 1581, it still sounds great unplugged.
