No, not mine, but here\'s a nice one on the bay at a reasonable price.

Mark, it's calling to you!

Say DVD, had you had much opportunity to monkey around with the electronics on yours? I have not been aware of how unique this was.

Prof, not sure why the auction has all that stuff in there about HexFX.. the original 01C has an OP-24+C preamp in it. And the pic in the auction looks like on OP-24+C.

Mine has an OP-PRO/Studio in it, which sounds great through my Shen Jr.

Jack, thanks! The originals are great, too. Haven't had a chance to A-B them side-by-side yet.

I'm hearing lots of voices these days. Unfortunately, one of them is from the University of Portland, saying, "Pay the tuition bill." I wonder what they'll charge when the twins go to college, David.

Good one, dweezil. It was calling to me, but I couldn't make my mind up to respond. These always float close to the top of my list, especially after I play dvd's, but my brief contact with MWoody's LAV Koa kept it at the top of the list.

Good get, dweezil. I'm tempted everytime I see one for sale. I restrain myself by looking at the wood and inlaid eppi's on dvd's.

Mark, the LAV Koa models are all customs, and once they're gone, they're gone. You'll have to just wait for one to turn up on the used market and take your chances. You could have one made, of course, but there's no telling what that might entail. As I posted in the other best-looking thread, I put this model at the top of the list for sheer beauty. Take it out in public and everybody notices. People who are familiar with Ovation are stunned by its uniqueness. Most just stare at the top and try to guess what kind of wood it is. Better to play something else if the attention bothers you.

Wow, Dweez, good deal at the opening price! You'll definitely enjoy it. Glad someone here got it.

The bridge pulled up on mine and destroyed the top, so I had them do a lot of customization when it went to the mothership. Pics in my profile at "that other place."

Brad, you didn't say anything I haven't already thought of. I also considered the 12 vs. 14 fret issue and the wrath of SWMBO issue. I've resolved all those issues except for the money. If I don't get distracted by a good deal on something like this Redwood collector, I should be able to come up with enought to pay for the Koa.

Seems like something gets added to the list as soon as something else gets crossed off. Sorta like my honey-do list.

It ticks the "Ebony fingerboard?" box so it's unlikely. The Adamas is going back today, whilst I love it's voice I do think that particular one was in pretty bad shape.

Pics to come...
