I haven't taken any pictures yet, but other than a very slight amount of fret wear under the B/E strings on the first couple of frets, it looks like new. Has the 9158 case and I think most or all of the original books (need to look at that), truss wrench and dummy plug. The guitar did go back to the mother ship last fall when one brace came partially unglued and at that time, it also received an entirely new VIP5 due to an intermittent electrical problem. So you essentially get a less than a year old electronics package (from plugs to module), fresh Elixirs and a factory inspected guitar. I don't collect guitars, so on the block she goes. I will probably try here and Craigs list for a while before doing the 'bay' thing. $1500 plus shipping of your choice. May consider offers, but no trades. Email or PM me. Thanks Jeff

I find it fascinating that the 2080, despite it's abundance of top end features, is not in high demand....hmmmmm....maybe have to keep it and sell the 1537 after all.

To my knowledge nobody that ever bought one was disappointed by the sound or the way it plays. But to many people, the looks are kind of "stark" and might (just my opinion) have gone a tad too far away from what a traditional guitar looks like, for mass appeal. The other adamas guitars with the woody epaulets (gay as they are) and pastel colors with gold sparkles have a certain "warmth" compared the the uber-industrial 2080. Just a guess. Dave

To you vareity is....Steak (rare), Steak (medium rare), Steak (medium), Steak (medium well), Steak (well), Steak (burnt), Steak with A1 sauce, Steak with...........................................................................etc, etc etc. :D :D :D ;)

My steak, however, has to be medium, as does my hamburger. The real variety comes in the Polish sausage and Bratwurst area. I was perfectly happy with all 3 Bratwursts I had at Miles, though. I mixed them up with different types of beer. I think the Adamas might be like a very crisp, clear white wine with no hint of oak. The 1537 would be a dark, woody red. The only similarities is they are by the same vintner.

I think it was a 12 fretter and was simply a stunning guitar..... It looks like a 2080 - has the dark soundboard and the cat's eye with the nike swoosh, and is a cutaway. However, that's about where the similarities end. It is a 12 fret, slot head. Although the soundboard is dark, it is not the open-weave carbon fiber. It has the UTE textured top. 1 3/4 inch nut. Medium bowl, not the contour. OpPro Studio, not the VIP. Soundbit: Clicky - 1.3MB Photo: ![]()
