Mike has one here in the store, the first one built by a guy who lives here on the island. all natural 17" body, carved spruce top, carved flame maple b&s, maple binding, single Bennedetto pickup on the ebony p/g with Volume control. It's a 3 piece curley maple neck blind ebony board, 1 3/4 it felt like, but a low profile all the way up.
It sounds good and plays nice. The workmanship is excellent. I would have guessed $7500 or more. All he wants is $2500. Anyone interested in a hand built archtop give Island Tobacco a call. |
