| Selling my 1999 1597 SMT. It is in good shape, there is a problem with the 1/4" jack but the XLS works fine (you just need to put a plug in the 1/4" jack to "power it up") and I am selling it with a XLR to 1/4" Male cable.
Located in Montreal, Qc, Canada.
Selling for $750 USD + shipping
Reason for selling is I am going to be unemployed very soon, I will need cash and I don't use it much anymore.

Location: Pittsburgh | Good luck Eric. I'd be giving it serious consideration, but it looks like a super shallow bowl. (Since I only play at home and don't plug in I usually buy mid-depth or deep bowls.) Please correct me if I'm wrong. |

| 2wheeldrummer is right. It is mid-depth and it does sound very nice. With the strings I have right now it has a very warm sound with some tone but not too much, especially when playing fingerstyle tunes. And like any Ovation, you get rich and powerful sound when playing strums, with or without a plectrum.
I'm more of a fingerstyle player and I love how Kathy's Song (Simon & Garfunkel) sounds on it though I am sure it would sound be a gazillon times better if Paul Simons was playing instead of me.
I wish I did not have to sell it.

| Good news for you Tennessee.....but bad news for me. My buyer wants to bring back the guitar and get his money back. He was changing the strings and noticed that the bridge is split. I had not seen this and had no idea it was damaged. I am glad I did not sell it to someone in the USA. Imagine how much it would have cost me just to ship it both ways.
So my Ovation is not sold.....................and no longer for sale, at least not for the time being since it will need a new bridge. |

| Hello,
It's been a while since I was here. I'm putting the guitar back for sale. I don't play anymore so there is no point in keeping it. It's in the same shape as it was when I last advertised it.
Asking for the same price, $750 USD + shipping
