I had a BIN purchase on ebay that ended up being a "non-paying bidder". The guy never even communicated with me at all.

I want to sell my near mint 2080 and am willing to take a bit of a hit on the price. If you pay with a wire transfer, verifiable cashiers check, or postal money order, I will sell it for $1400 shipped to the lower 48. Time for this to go as I have not played it since I bought my 2008C and I am NOT a collector.

With paypal, I need to add the paypal fee since I am already eating the postage.

I have pics on my laptop but what you will see is a 2080. Only flaw at all would be slight showing of fretwear on the top3 first 3. Also this had a new VIP installed just a year ago when the original failed, so you are getting pretty new electronics. I have 100% feedback on ebay (2Davis).

I REALLY don't want to go back to ebay again. Is no one interested in a 2080. I will entertain offers at this point, and may even consider a part trade for something else interesting. I could keep it, but since getting the 2008C, it hasn't seen daylight.

I tried to delete this post for now, but seems the time has lapsed to do so.

I have had a couple incredible trade offers, but alas, they were not what I was looking for (I am not even sure I know what I was looking for).

Anyway, a local lady at our church asked if she could take the 2080 for a test drive, so I am going to let her have it for a few weeks to see what she thinks. She is new to guitars and her instructor is a "anything but Martin is junk" sort of guy, but she likes the way my Adamas and Ovation sound at church, so she is being brave and going to buck the potential ridicule to try the 2080 our in her group (they have a guitar class that performs together publically with some fiddle players). Should be interesting to see what happens. Kind of feel sorry for the Martin guy, he's a nice fellow...just ain't had no learnin'

I'll borrow it for awhile, but I'll bet I prefer the OFC over the 2080 for the same reason you prefer the 08C. I've been trying to pimp it to the guy down the hall, but I couldn't get him (or his wife) to bite on the 07C, so I don't think he'd go for it.
