I didn't buy it, guys, I just found a pic for all of youse so no apologies necessary.

And I couldn't agree more (although we all know that being butt ugly doesn't mean it's not collectible and that's probably why Beal has one).

Well, one plus, it won't fall over if you lean it against a wall.

Anyone who knows me knows that turquoise blue is absolutely my most favorite color--but that poor thing, well, I'm not so sure any other color would help it out much, either......
My shoulder precludes being tempted by anything deeper than a shallow bowl. (Sigh.)

I played one of them there flying Vs years ago. It sounded really good but hard to play sitting down.

Ditto that. The CEO is one amazing sounding guitar. It's the first non-ovation that I ever wanted and when I went back the next day with cash in hand it was gone. I was bummed.

Those 12 fret dreads have a tone all to themselves. It's not exactly dread-like, in the traditional sense. Not as much upper end. It's more like an OM guitar with a stick of dynamite up its arse.

Back to the Tak40th. I'm sure it's a stunning guitar right in the league of the 45th, Opry and the Bluegrasser. You absolutely freaking could not go wrong with this one.

The Flying A is much prettier in RED.
Really, it is.

Yeah, this and the gold top could go, that's why I mentioned it.

Beal, what do you want for the Duotone? I'm not interested, but I saw one of the 3 holes at Gc tonight. It's been there over a year. I rarely spend time looking in their electric section, but it was across from where they had the VXT on clearance.

40th will be coming to San Diego...

I keep saying NO MORE WOOD BOXES.

However, note that I haven't been selling the round backs...spent some time last night with the 1718-X prototype and the pre-production 1537 - both from Bill a couple of years ago.

Figured binging on guitars is better than chocolate. The other excuse is that I celebrate two birthdays a year...my birthday in August and the Marine Corps Birthday (Nov 10th, 233 years of service).

By the way, my annual pitch for Toys for Tots!!

Tony, now you need to concentrate on filling that niche between a dread and a parlor  .

Semper Fi Tony! I was wondering how you've been doing as I hadn't seen you posting lately (like me probably busy, lol). Congrats on a great Tak get...I was able to get a nice Patriot so the Marines are still doing well...Enjoy!

Congrats Tony. Can't think of a better home for that guitar.

Hopefully, the 40th will be here tomorrow. Figured the 233rd birthday (Nov 10th) of the Marine Corps was a good justification.

Got it in after 6pm this evening...packed with foam peanuts (even included a couple of real peanut shells).

Best wood box I could compare it with is the Martin HD28-VS. Wow!! Bill has never steered me wrong. Amazing. :D :D
