This was relegated to being looked at and rarely played until last weekend when someone came over to record some tracks with several of my Ovations. He liked the 99 best, probably because of the Optima. I pointed out this one on ebay to him. I should probably tell him it's hopeless now that the shark has picked up the scent of blood in the water. | ||

I had one before, and I miss it. I have others with better acoustic tone, but it hardly sounds bad, and besides, you can't help but just stare at the thing. The guitars are gorgeous! | ||

I think that's only the second one in about a year. And the last one was in average shape at best. At least we know we have expensive taste. :rolleyes: | ||

Of the turn of the century Collector's, I thought the 01 was the best. Seems like you had one of those and got rid of it. Of course you could go for a Book Elite instead of the almost identical 87. | ||

Not too bothered about the 99, if one ocmes by that's cheap I'll grab it just to be able to try it and sell on if need be. That's how I ended up with three 97s! Two will be up for grabs at some point soon. | ||
