Definitely in need of a spa treatment. |

Location: Derwood, MD | Thanks for the welcome. Actually, I thought maybe the loose enamel was a production flaw. I've had many guitars and nothing like that had ever happened. I didn't do anything about it because it was rarely seen and didn't really affect the play of the guitar. |

I zoned on the fact that you were the person who placed the add.
My attempt at humor sounds a bit disrespectful now. Apologies.
Yeah, the bowl wear is worse than I've seen before. But I have seen wear around the man hole cover before. It's most noticable on brown bowls.
Not a big deal though and easily repaired.
It's a beautiful guitar and a real favorite around here.
Good luck with the sale. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I've seen the bowl paint peeling from around the access hole, too, but not as bad as this one. The one that comes to mind was also a 1537. Maybe it was a problem with brown bowls of the same era. |

Location: Tennessee | My 1537 has some "spots" where the brown bowl paint is worn off and the black bowl is showing through ... maybe it adds character. It definitely shows that the guitar has been played which is probably why it sounds so good.
Welcome, hmil3. Good luck with the sale .. looks like a good'un. |
