once the Adamas arrives and I've seen it in the flesh I'll know then whether I'll swap them back over. Thanks...

I'm still trying to figure out if the 1681 had gold or ebony buttons originally - anyone?

I know this is an old thread, but I just today got a set of Paul's walnut buttons. If you haven't seen them before, they are even prettier than the photos. Very well made, matched and finished.

I would add that they are easy to switch out and look great on a 1681-8.
