Wow, that was a deal!! I didn't believe it would go for under $1500, so never bothered with the auction. I ended up buying a new 1680 a few days ago from an ebay store for $1900 w/ free shipping (using the "Best offer" option), which I WAS pretty psyched about!!! Oh well, I'm still psyched, and can't wait to get this guitar either. Congrats on the great buy again!

Hey let's not worry about a few $. Just think of the immense enjoyment and tonal goodness that will come of these guitars over the years.

I think I made an offer on the same guitar. The guy told me he would take $1925 shipped. Then he pulled the counteroffer page. I guess it worked out better for me:) Now I'll have to learn to play better to justify the fine axe:

Thats the beauty of a great guitar - you HAVE to play it!

I managed to source mine for $1750 new inclusive of shipping!

Wow, lets look at the bright side that we are getting such good buys on really fine guitars! Year and half ago, these things were going for over 3k, gas was on its way to the moon, and people were wiping their rear's with $20's!

That's good, Patch. At least you're wishing for something likely. Most of us need a whole life...

Congrats Shughes...a fine price. But if Buyers Remorse (or the law of the wife) sets in, you won't have any trouble getting your $$ back.
