| Couldn't resist, huh bobbo? I've been trying to figure out a stealth way of getting one myself. Figured it would complement my BS Tak quite nicely. SWMBO wasn't too warm to the idea, tho :( |

Location: Madison, Wis | I purchased it already, it should arrive here on Tuesday. I know asking for a review after purchasing is kind of late, but it is such a beautiful guitar, I could not pass it up. And I have an 1112 Balladeer , since 1974 and never a problem with it. So I figured I would take a chance on it. And really how much of a chance am I taking with an Ovation...after all it is an Ovation |

Location: Tennessee | No, I could not resist. Al's got the basics listed, but I was also drawn to the black headstock with chrome logo, black body binding, black tuners, ebony bridge, black saddle, ebony board, and nice Elite fretboard inlays to compliment the vintage tinted top. It all coordinates with the black lines in the spalted maple inlaid epaulet. This guitar just screams ultimate coolness. I'm also a satin neck kinda guy. I figure it'll sound like a top-end Elite and Ovations are pretty consistent. To top it off, it was the last pre-Fender Ovation Collectors. The ideal example of what Ovation evolved to. I know I'm gonna like it. For $900 with a 9158 case, what's not to like? |

Location: Sydney, Australia | These look like cool guitars to me too. A sort of "I just want it" type of feeling. But I have to keep my GAS in check at the moment, I'm already being spoiled big time this year.
At a practical (head not heart) level, what can it do that my W597 can't do (and without a dummy plug and special XLR cable). |
