Frets are a tiny bit "sharper", for lack of a better term, at the edges. There is a tiny bit of fret buzz at the octave on the E-string. I'm guessing that this one came without benefit of setup. I once had a 2005 Collector's with the same sharp edges. It was an easy fix. The body of the 2080 is waterprooof, but the fretboard isn't. It sounds like it's shrunken a little because it's thirsty. Stick a humidifier in its case and see if anything happens. It might even help that slight buzz, but it may also need a truss adjustment or set-up to clear that up. |
