Fellows,
Thanks for the interest. Now,

Price: I wish I knew what the current market price is. I know it's a superb quality model. A very serious guitar collector and Ovation dealer was very interested in the guitar. This was several years ago, when I used to live of the coast of South Carolina.
So there we go, this is the reason why I didn't post a price. Never thought of departing from it. After having sold top of the line Martin's and Taylor's this is the one I kept. Amazing neck.
I am mostly using vintage thinline Teles, and one of a kind archtops, however. So shoot a fair price, or if you could direct me to a place that has a reference price I would appreciate it.

Pics; It's in my music office at work. When I get around to taking pics I will post them on eBay. My reputation there is full 100% on mostly expensive and custom shop guitars and pro-recording gear (masteringsouth).

If you know of a quality used stereo compressor also let me know,
Thanks

Please note;
My Adamas is NOT currently posted on eBay. The Gibson ES-339 CS will probably post tonight.
Thanks.

Imastering,
Welcome to the OFC!

If you want to find the true market value post it on Ebay. You must have a reserve in mind to do that. What we ask here is that you post an asking price - probably your reserve. Don't be shy - this is the best market of ovation lovers you can reach. Obviously, pics help sell.

Otherwise you run the risk of the moderator pulling the plug on your ad (see the rulez).

SSB Adamas, oooooooooh! I like.

I would suggest the current market value is less than $1000, that's taking into account the price of "better" Adamas guitars.

The 1881 with Optima electronics is, IMHO, one of the best SSB Adamas models out there. I've seen one sell for $1100, another for $1500, and a third in between these amounts over the past four years. Unfortunately, they're rare and don't come up very often, plus the market for SSBs is smaller than for the deeper bowls. There are some custom Adamas SSBs also floating around, and their appeal and price range can be all over the place depending upon just how custom and historical the guitar is. The 1881 has the preferable textured top. You should price yours accordingly.

Thanks for great response to my question.
Has any one actually seen one for sale? or actually sold relative recently?
Maybe about three or four years ago ago I remember seeing one that sold quick in eBay. It had one small picture, very slim description, and sold for well over a thousand...
But that was years back.
Does anyone know how this model came to be?
I checked the 4 digit table but the third number didn't have a 9 on the list.
Thanks fellows for all your help.

Thanks again for the help.
I received already a few offers. Thanks.

At this point I would not be interested in selling the instrument under 1.3k.
I know it may be above expert market calculations, but it's got a superb sound, the best neck, and has survived my 20-30 acoustic guitar deals of the last few years.

I have no rush to sell it. I just don't play it as much because I am in a busy producing season.
Thanks again. I'll keep your offers in mind.
