The top has flattened back out pretty well, and still NO Zero finish cracks or checking. all solder joints on the pot/preamp have been resealed/heatset. all of the retaining tabs on the pot have been tightened, no noise or scratchiness from the preamp, and a new set of knobs from the mothership. some minor checking on the neck binding at the frets and markers, but all is tight. and very minimal for a 26 year old VGC Player. got it down to 3 shims under the saddle, and no buzzing or fretting out all the way down the neck... action is good, and added a little more relief to the neck. This guitar looks and plays excellent! no buckle rash, or nicks on binding, neck is in awesome condition, and other than the minor checking on the neck binding, I'd give it a 9+ out of 10.. slight belly bulge below the bridge, but everything else moved back into place with some proper humidification. Body Type: Deep Bowl/Brown Top: Sitka Spruce AAA Bracing: Ovation A Finish: -7 Dark Nutmeg Scale Length: 25 1/4" Fretboard: Ebony, Ivory Binding Fret Inlay: 15 Pearl dots and diamonds Bridge: Walnut Rosette: MOP under acrylic Pickup: Piezoelectric Stereo Nutwidth: 1 11/16" Machines: 24k "Gold Plated" Schallers Preamp: FET3 stacked tone/vol Original OHSC in Good Condition, all valances line up tight and all latches and feet intact, no cracks or holes in case, lining is in excellent condition as well. These are getting harder and harder to find, and this one recovered and came back very very nicely. you will be more than pleased with this one! Nothing Like a Deep Bowl A-Braced AAA topped Legend!!! It's a Boomer and the top has aged very nicely! Willing to Trade for a nice Balladeer 12 or Elite 12 string either straight up, or for 12+cash... LX, AX, or TX, or Ultra's are fine with me... I would prefer a deep or mid bowl, but a shallow will do...2758,6758,1758 would be awesome I'm going into 12 string withdrawel.... condition is not too big an issue, as long as it plays well and is not totally beat to death...must be an A/E though. if buying/sale I am asking $600 shipped and insured in the conus.. OBO... I'm flexible, and have been working hard on this one to get it back into the best shape possible. more pictures on the ning site, and all are in High resolution if you double click on them. Sorry for the one Hi Res shot... I had multiple smaller shots, but the server kept giving me errors about parentheses in the HTML, and there were none... so you can check out the rest of the photos here: 1651-7 Reborn or the slideshow here: slideshow Thanks for looking! I'd rather keep it in the family... I hate shipping Internationally, and I already had my Serbo-Croation adventure once on e-bay and paypal from a scammer.., so if it's one of the 3, it's not going to Serbia.. We'll see how it goes. This guitar isn't perfect, but it is a nice Legend Ltd... plays great, and everything works as it's supposed to... and it just needed a little attention and moisture restored to it. It really has recovered very well. and I didn't crack the finish in the process which really surprised me as dehydrated as it was. Glenn

I told him a little bit of the story of Kaman, helicopters, Ovation, and CWK's offer to buy Martin, and the origins of the lyracord bowl, why the first one's were 3 plankers, and reason's for the use of mil-spec parts on the electric guitars... and of Kaman and all of it's subsidiaries and also the Acquisition of the music division by FMIC.... He'll probably be joining us here. His name is Tom, and the 1651 will be his first O. I also referred him to Jerome's site as well. Glenn
