For Sale: 2001 COLLINGS OM-2
Sorry to cut this one loose but I just picked up an OM-3 Maple and ... well you know ... you can't keep them all. Dead mint 10/10 condition, sings like an angel with looks to kill.
If you know anything about Collings you know that their small quantity hand built guitars are generally considered the best of the best. This OM-2 is no exception. Meticulous craftsmanship and the finest materials go into this guitar that will stand above any OM on the block. With all due respect to a wonderful guitar like the Takamine EF75, the Collings OM is just in another league. And this one has some special touches.

Everything is in dead mint condition. I'm the second owner of this guitar. The first owner never took it out of his house and nor have I. Seriously, in 8 years this guitar has never seen the light of day. It's a players dream and a true trophy piece. As I said I would never even consider selling this guitar except for the fact that I just picked up an almost identical Collings OM in slightly different woods and trim.

Location: South of most, North of few | Boy Dave, you're really starting to bother me with this one, now that it's a 1 3/4 nut. I almost wish I hadn't made the commitment on the Martin now. No one does a burst like Collings. Goes without saying, if times weren't so bad now, that would be gone. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I almost made a big mistake. Somebody on the Takamine forum was about to buy it specifically BECAUSE it was 1-11/16. At the very last moment before pushing the paypal button they asked me to please check it one more time and CRAP if it wasn't 1-3/4 width. I couldn't believe it as I always thought it was 1-11/16 but I used the mic and also checked it against other known 1-3/4 guitars. Good thing is I found out before shipping. Bad thing is that it cost me the sale. |

Location: Seoul, Korea | Dave: It is indeed a beauty! Had it not been for my son's college tuition I would have crossed the line already. Not that I don't want you to sell this guitar but for my selfish reason, I wish you could wait till next summer when I am in the U.S. Now that I have a Martin, I am still lacking a Collings and a Gibson.
BTW, our company was retained by the U.S. regulators to exact the fate on Citibank's top executives including the CEO. Which means I may be sooner in the U.S. |
