Location: Jackson, WI | My buddy has an 1868 elite shallow body with an OP-X preamp. I'm not sure when he bought it, I think at least 7 or 8 years ago. I'm not sure how much he paid for it, I'm guessing somewhere around $1,000 or so. I can't seem to find this exact guitar anywhere. Anyone know where I can find one and if so how much I could expect to pay for a good used one? Any info is appreciated. Thanks. |

Welcome to the Ovation Family!
If ya would do a search in the 'General Posting' and the 'For Sale' forums here, you'll find quite a bit of helpful info. Also try Google. There's even more help out yonder.
Good luck... |

Location: Minden, Nebraska | The OP-X preamp was used for a year or two in the mid-90's. A 4-band preamp is nice, but the next generation of preamps on the 1867/1868 was the OP-24+C, which included a chromatic tuner. It was a nice change, imho, unless one likes the extra band and has a pedal tuner or other.
I would expect to pay $400 - $600 depending on condition. |

Location: NW of Philadelphia | I bought my 2007 1868T late last year for less than $600 with OHSC (brand new). It came with a OP-Pro (swapped out for a OP-Pro Studio). |
