Add shipping plus 24% tax and it's just impossible. I'm currently actively trying to get a Fylde (hand made British fingerstyle guitar) so having to hold back a little (and even cull some)!

Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | I offered $1,350 and it was accepted. Sorry Dweez, could not pass this one up. Personally I was amazed it was still listed, as I did not see it until this afternoon. As much as I would have loved to have bought something like Sam's Original Slothead, I need guitars I can use without so much at stake. At this price any Adamas 1 is a steal and these are not easy to find. I can't wait to see how this one feels on stage. Much of the Deep Bowl or Contour Bowl acoustic advantges in sound are lost when plugged in so this one should work great.

Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | I have found the absolute ultimate Gigging guitar in this SSB Adamas 1. Sadly it is not one the original slotheads but it is very useful right now. The tone of this is actually easier to dial in through the PA or even through my Acoustic Amp than the deep bowls. It seems to be taylored for plugged play and the acoustic sound is actually very good for such a shallow bowl. Looks great wears real nice and I am a very happy to get this guitar to my door for a total of $1,450.00 These are hard to find and this price was unheard of in the past. I would love to find a SSB Adamas 1 in a 12 string. Anyone happen to have one they'd be willing to let go. I have one of those Black Elite T's in a 12 string Medium Bowl I am thinking of sending out soon. Anyway Prof you were very right on about this guitar. Randy

I then thought seriously about having an Adamas SSB 12 custom made, but decided on a custom EA-58 Viper instead. I still might pursue the Adamas SSB 12 someday, but have something else in the works right now.

Not that it matters really but I was pretty sure I stole this one at $1,350. Now that I have it I know I did, I really hope I can find a 12 string just like this one for stage.
