I have a 1617-5S deep bowl prototype Ovation guitar that I am considering trying to trade for a 1119 Custom Legend if I can locate one. The prototype is a black sunburst Legend, basically. The S.N. is 061681, which is actually the date it was built. I contacted Ovation, and they sent me a e-mail document verifying that the guitar was the only one made with the exact specs, and that it was a prototype model. Excellent condition, and the electronics are perfect, as well. I'm just throwing this out there to see if there is any interest before I list it over in buy and sell. I also have a super nice 1978 Anniversary that I might possibly let go for the right deal. If anyone has a Custom Legend and is interested in a trade, let me know. I am enclosing pics of the prototype Legend.

Wow, that is absolutely gorgeous!
I sure wished I had the money to buy it. :(

Thanks LM. It is in great shape, and sounds pretty darn good, especially for an A/E model. I just don't use the electronics, so I would rather have the straight acoustic version. This is certainly a rare one, and I haven't tried to sell it outright. I wouldn't have any idea what it is worth, actually. It almost looks as if it hasn't been played.
