I've looked at the Applause AA13 and AA21. They're about $150 and we're looking to stay closer to $100 if possible. I think he needs something 3/4 size so it's easier for him to handle.

Let me know if you've got anything in the back of the closet or in the attic that might work. Thanks!

My daughter has one. I'll see if she isn't using it and wants to sell it. If so, I'll PM you, meet her in Portland for Thanksgiving and pick up the guitar.

Oops. Iffy may have beat me. No surprise there.

Mark,

I don't have a 3/4. So your offer is appreciated!

I'm just offering a Rogue (quasi-3/4). If Todd declines my offer, I'll put it up here for first grabs for just the $hipping.

Day-um, I love this place...

Todd,
Not knowing the age or ability level of the recipient I'd like to offer this Chris guitar if it will fit the intro/learning level.

I could clean it up better and send it on the PIF plan.

Woody, that is so cool! Yet another example of the kind of great people who hang out here.

Thanks for the offers and input you've all given me on this one. Johnny (Iffy) did make me an offer that we couldn't refuse, so we're taking him up on it.

My wife and I are stunned at the generosity we are receiving here--thanks Iffy!! I hope, in some way, to be able to "pay it forward" to one my fellow OFCers one of these days.

It never ceases to amaze me about the quality and generosity of folks here.
Many here, they know who they are, have so very much enriched my life and especially assisted me in my time here in Iraq without my beloved Ovations.
