Location: Route 66, just east of the Cadillac Ranch | I’m not ready to go to eBay with this, but I thought I’d throw it out there for any Martin fans/collectors. I have a size 5, “Mini-Martin,” Terz, Model 528LE. This is not like the little Martins you see at GC. The Mini-Martin is a high-end parlor guitar that had a list price of over $4K. Martin now shows this to be an inactive model.
"Mini-Martin" Size 5, Terz Guitar
There are several tuning possibilites with this guitar:
1) Standard tuning
2) Terz tuning (3 half notes above standard tuning)
3) Nashville tuning (similar to the using the high strings only from a 12 string set)
I purchased this guitar new in February of 2007 and it is in excellent condition. It only left my non-smoking home one time in the 3 years that I’ve had it and it has always been stored in it’s Geib style case with a humidifier. There are no dings and only the slightest marks you’d expect from finger style playing (I take very good care of my stuff). I bought this looking for a guitar that I could play comfortably from a recliner (I know, I know). I play finger-style and having large hands makes it a challenge for me to play the 1 5/8” neck. About a year ago my brother bought me an old 1111 and since then the “Mini-Martin” just isn’t getting played.
I’m looking for an equitable trade for an early original Shiney Bowl in very good condition (Josh White preferred).
I’ll take pictures if anyone is interested.
Thanks! |
