Here is an early view of the Tacoma Solidbody Papoose I've modified to a 12 string with Ovation clad tuners, Seymour Humbucker, thru body strings, Tunamatic Bridge and a Varitone Switch.

The Papoose is an "A" scale instrument tuned A to A.

Binding to follow.

Great job Woody! Beautifully executed....I love the thru body string grommets how they follow the shape of the body.

The addition of binding will really set off and frame your top veneer....Are you trimming it in a cream binding or a contrasting wood or ????

The only thing I see (IMHO) that doesn't fit is......the chicken head knob! it doesn't go with the elegance of the design! (chicken heads belong on amps and old radios and of course chickens!!)

I really would like to invite you to come and join us in the BFLG group (On the Other Side!) You could post up pics of all your projects and creations! Pictures are SUPER EASY to host and post!

If the distortion on my electric papoose ever dies, I'd put in a varitone. Woody that is great.

Jeff, "How's your head"?

The Chicken Head came with the Varitone kit and will be replaced.

Cream binding with possibly a thin line of Abalone.

I have been avoiding the "other" site because I don't want to get wrapped up in going two places to stay up on things. I di see that the BFLG and some other groups are calling to me though.

We'll see...

Does anybody have a strong opinion on what the best HB for this set up would be?

I'm running a 500K pot from a Seymour Duncan Designed HB reading 12.5 resistance (ohms, impee-dance, impudence, whatever).

I am thinking that a low resistance pup would benefit the multi string output.

You might try some of those mini-humbuckers you have in your parts box. They could give you a bright, clean sound.

This Carvin C22N might be good for a clean sound: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250281307257
