The facts are that this guitar looks and sounds amazing, and its hardly ever been played. Obviously they wrote 1687 on the label instead of 1689, so that makes this guitar unique'. The reissues are £2,617. I have reduced the buy it now to £2,199! Its a great guitar, someone is in for a real treat, as I said its not mine, I'm selling it for a pensioner as he does not use computers. I don't know much about using computers myself but I'm struggling to do my best despite the completely uncalled for hostility so good luck to those people who get a kick out of attacking people who are just trying to find the right information and get the best price for a pensioner.

New Reissue £2,617.00 GBP = $4,318.57 USD

I've been watching from the start and I have to agree with #8728 on this.
That and PT's @#*!% language is unexcusable.

I'm going to take a vacation and hang with my Tacoma Fan Club buddies, they could give us all a few lessons in humility.

Agreed, I always thought that this was a civil place, but some comments here (the ladyboy thing etc...) should have been removed by the moderators.

I'll take a break as well, good luck to the seller, very nice guitar.

I disagree, the constant cross-forum spamming, not to mention the childish belligerence of the original poster should have alerted the mods long before I made that comment.
A few members made incorrect assumptions based on the label, but several others including myself presented facts and were dismissed as if we had some ulterior motive. So, I'm done with this too.

Many non-mods tried to first, help the guy, and second, let him know when he wasn't presenting himself in a good light. Yet he still continues in the same way.

In My Opinion... Something doesn't smell right. The more he posts the more little red warning flags pop up. For instance... now it is revealed that the person he is selling it for is a poor old "pensioner".
I might buy a guitar from him in a face to face situation only.... maybe.
Again... just my personal opinion.

I agree, go to eBay. A number of very qualified and trusted members (at least I trust them) have tried to help...and, frankly, there is a high frustration level here.

From Beal to Kim to Paul Temp to Al and many more, I have received invaluable advice and support in my purchases of Adamas and Ovations. My nature is that I don't always agree 100% but I always listen.

I have a number of early Adamas as well as #50 pre-production slothead, OFC I, and reissues. Personnaly, I am not interested in this offering and a guitar that may have had a replacement neck. I agree, too many red flags.

This is a site for those who value the Adamas and Ovation heritage and product. It has been unique from other guitar sites as members share their knowledge allowing all of us to gain. It is not a drop-by to sell a guitar. In addition, as I have bought guitars from a number of other members (Adamas, Ovation, Takamine, and Martin), it is important to always have full disclosure to build a level of trust.

Something doesn't smell right, what the hell are you on? I am Stefan Price, Mark Knopfler and Robin Trower tribute artist. I'm selling a guitar for someone. I told you it wasn't mine, yes if it had a slimmer neck I would have bought it but its too wide.

I started a new thread because one person says something like "thats NOT a wide neck" when I know for a fact that it is, I am then thinking people will see that and then might not re visit to see that it IS a wide, and so I made a new thread so they can see, yes some people have helped but others give wrong info which doesn't help, I don't want buyers reading the wrong info. But the photos in the general area were to do with the question in the general area! Someone called me a twat for uploading them there but I was loading them with reference to the questions about the plate on the back etc. The photos DID go in the for sale section ASWELL for advertising it but the ones in general area were for info.

FYI.. AdamasUK... a troll is someone who posts in this case extraneous messages in an online community.

So someone said it is something that it isn't. Creating a new topic just confuses the issue rather than correct it in the SAME topic. Also, once you post pictures, you should just "link" to them in other places, not re-post.

Some of us have tried to help. If this continues, you will be bounced.

Hi, I am not going to say anymore about the guitar it apart from that the gentleman I am selling it for has told me the neck wasn't changed because he ORDERED the wide neck with the shop from the factory. He said to me he got it because he thought the extra wood would help the guitar sustain longer and make a better sound.
The neck was an option, and was chosen.

Now please lets put this arguing to bed, I don't like hostility and I certainly wouldn't try and create havoc on purpose, it actually makes me feel sick in my stomach to see it.

Remember that the UK and USA have different cultures, I wouldn't have put adamasuk if I was aware of "suck" its not a word thats used here, we got off on the wrong foot. I appreciate the help and appologise for any annoyance.

Stefan.

Thanks Stefan.

I'm going to close this thread. It will not be deleted, and will certainly come up in search if someone is looking.

I think it has run its course...
