Location: Austin | I have owned this guitar since 2003, but do not play it often so have decided to sell it. The serial Number is 395529 which I believe dates it to the 1989-1990 build date.
The top of the 1866 is grade AA solid spruce with A-type bracing that delivers the warmth and sustain that guitar players love. A hand-laid rosette of oak-leaves adorns the sound hole. the 1866 boasts a very powerful OP-24+C preamp and a TruBalance pickup. The scale length is 25 1/4 and the nut width is 1 7/8. This guitar has the gold tuners and ebony inlay on the fret-board and is in excellent condition. I would say mint condition but there is a small nick in the oak leaf rosette where it meets the fret neck. The 1866 has a shallow bowl which makes it much easier to handle and play. Guitar has the original hard shell case with padded insert. asking $650.Not sure I have loaded the pics correctly but they are on the Ovation photo site. |

Location: Austin | Thank you for the well wishes Waskel. Yes it is a great 12 String guitar. It should be played though and not just displayed as a nice focal point to a room as it is now. |
