You recommend a set up when purchased. What is it about the guitar that makes you recommend a set up?
Also, what condition are the frets in?

Location: Atlanta,Ga. | Jim, i recently purchased the guitar and have not had the time to take it to my guitar tech.In fact i hardly have any time to play it.What i mean by set up is,change the strings,clean and polish frets and fingerboard,adjust trus rod to take slight bow out of neck,adjust action to your liking.Frets are good and do not need replacing.Looks to be original.The guitar looks like it has lived most of its life in a case unplayed.It is very clean and quite light without the electonics.Its a great guitar i have chosen not to keep it.24 hour approval for OFC members. |

Wow. A great guitar to be sure. I love these 12 fretters. But I just bought 2 guitars in the past 2 months. A third could spell trouble. But it is deliciously tempting. |

Location: SoCal | Sad, just a reflection of the market...a couple of years ago, I bought a natural 1658 Custom Legend for $900 BIN in the 1st 15 minutes of listing. Seller already had four inquiries from overseas.
Now I have three...the non-a/e 1158 was my first Ovation. I have never found a better wood top 12-string even though I also have a Martin 12-45.
Try hard, you will not be disappointed. It is that good. |
