From the headstock and truss rod cover, it looks like it came from the time of the 47's and OFC 1's. The truss rod cover looks like an LX. But the preamp pre-dates that time. Who knows....

Our friend Joel from France asked me to snag this one for him: it shipped here for a set up and will continue on to him. It is a very cool guitar and plays wonderfully. For all the SSB naysayers out there (ya gotta try one for yourselves), the sound is surprising: acoustically, somewhat subdued: good but nothing to write home about...BUT: plugged in it's a monster...huge bass, smooth mid-range, and very clear (almost dangerous) treble. The Optima Preamp makes it a ton of fun to experiment with notch or no notch; EQ or not; and four band EQ to shape the sound any way you want. The graphite top really accentuates the tone plugged in...I wish it were staying here...but, off to France it goes. A very nice guitar and I am glad I had a chance to play it. If you have to have Nylon, this would be the the way to go!
