 | Is there a big gap in term of sound quality (unplugged and plugged as well) between those 2 nylon guitars? I am still not sure whether the high price of the 1773 is worth it.

 | Easy to say, 'cuz it's not my money but if you are serious about a nylon strung Ovation the 1773LX is the way to go. The narrower neck alone is a big plus for me. But the overall sound, feel, electronics, etc. of the 1773LX are just wonderful. Moody's custom 1773LX is without question the nicest Ovation nylon I have ever seen and played. If you can afford it, get the 1773LX. Dave |

 | When I first saw a 1773LX at the Ovation factory last year, I felt that they had built a guitar to my specs. I even went so far as to order mine with a gloss neck, XLR output, and abalone around the body. I felt that certain that this would be a guitar that I would keep forever.
I've had it now for 3 months and am happier with it now than when I got it. Well worth the money (and I paid much more, because of the upgrade, than you will for a standard guitar).

If you feel you can't afford a 1773LX, then get a 1763. But I believe the 1773LX is a better insturment -- easier to play, better construction, better preamp (love having a built in tuner -- on a nylon string, it's just wonderful).
