Hi.. I got myself an ovation CC057, the one with the old pre-amp.. not the OP-20, i think it is a new old stock. Guitars are very-very expensive here in Malaysia even for a Korean Ovation. Have to add a couple of hundred RM for the one with OP-20. I figure that since I only play for myself and I already have a digital tuner, I don't really need the OP-20.

One question, what is the 'general' string gauge for acoustic guitar or precisely for ovations. I understand that it's based on player's preference but I just want to know in general. TQ

Hi, and welcome to the OFC. In general light gauge strings are diameter 12, 16, 24, 32, 42, 53.

Ovations are expensive everywhere except USA.
