Joined: January 2005 Posts: 640 Location: boulder | I believe at factory tour we heard that the #47 reissue would be limited to 47 made. sound wise, the original #47 rings like a bell. maybe because it is very light in weight, at least to me. I like that it is an acoustic only, But I am happy that the OFC reissue will have electronics aboard and in blue. Either one would be ok with me...maybe i'm just in a good mood though. peace mike | ||

Joined: August 2003 Posts: 4619 Location: SoCal | here's a couple of pics of the newer -8 finish...other guitars are -7. the newer -8 finish is beautiful but if, as some of the OFC, you had several of the original (lighter) -8, you might want the OFC guitar to match. | ||

Joined: August 2003 Posts: 4619 Location: SoCal | the 101 v. the 93's has a slightly different voice...to me, not necessarily better. for me, it seems that I play the 101 more. from what I have seen, seems most were rated 88-93. from what others have said, can't be too many at 101. AND helps justify having at least one of each :p | ||
