They're nice because of the extra length, you can get better leverage than a standard size Allen (and who was he anyway, getting a wrench named after him?).... AHA! Thank goodness for Answers.com, and a fine coincidence as well: "Allen wrench" was originally a trademark of Allen Manufacturing Company in Hartford, Connecticut in 1943. | ||
