Joined: August 2008 Posts: 4 | Hey all, my first real guitar was an ovation celebrity deluxe until the neck joint popped loose. It slid down my entertainment center and hit the ground causing it to pop off the body about a quarter of an inch, but the fret board extension is still secured. Anyways I was wondering if it would be possible to throw some epoxy in the crack and clamp it back together. Also the block of wood surrounding the truss adjustment isn't secured to the body of the guitar, I see it move when I move the neck, is this normal? (lol not the moving of the neck but the block not being secure.) Well if it is at all possible to repair with epoxy, what kind would you suggest? Also would it be better to completely remove the neck and re-seat it? Anyways I'm pretty good with woodworking so if it is all possible I would like to give it a shot, repairs would cost too much for me, so I really have nothing to lose at this point. So please let me know what ya think and if you have had any experience with this. Thanks

It looked like cr@p, but it worked. The guitar was demoted to a beater, but it in the long run got more use as he no longer worried about hurting it on gigs.

I had one of them, Just Like That! After I sold it as a Project, Eliot told me how to fix it. It is a glue in... Let me look for the thread.

You can end up with serious action problems if you don't. (Experience from early days of repair) You could bring it by if you are close. I could fix it for you. Where are you located? I am in Indiana. Scott Lamperd B C (before compurters) jslamperd@hotmail.com
