I'm sure your wife would have mentioned it if the box looked "compromised". Oh yea, looks like you need to update your signature line list... What a nice collection.

It has also been a very successful method of letting people know what I'm looking for. The 1537, 87 and now the Ute all came from members who thankfully decided to try to shut me up. If I lived somewhere close to any of you guys, I'd probably just be over at your house drooling over your guitars instead. Thanks again, Ron. You are not correct that my wife would tell me if the box arrived damaged. This is the first time she let me know right away that one arrived. I called her one time (I've bought so many guitars now that I can't remember which one) and told her I was concerned that the guitar hadn't arrived and she said it had arrived hours before. She just didn't think it was important. Now she's got me thinking about selling the Boxster and buying a friend's 96 911. I wish you all had my problems.

I barely had time to tune it, play a few songs and put it back in the case. I'm taking it up to the cabin. It is incredibly light, but really projects. Thanks again, Ron. I may not have the ears that others have, but this has a distinct sound, not necessarily better or worse than the 1537, 87 or even the Folklore. Someday, I'll have someone else play all of them for me so that I can see if I can tell a big difference. For now, it is beautiful and sounds beautiful. I'll post some pics in about a week.

I may have mentioned this in a pm to a well-known hooligan on the board. It's not his fault. Although a lot of things are. So where's the report/pictures? I'm sending Jeff's home next week - I've had it about 9 months and I don't think I've even begun to scratch the surface of what the guitar is capable of. It's way too good for me. Way too good. I played #47 and a #47RI at the Tour - I'd take the ute any day. (Sorry Dave).

As far as report or pictures, I left Friday for a couple of trips into parts beyond and just got back this morning. I haven't played the guitar since Sunday. Most or all of my guitars are too good for me. I think I may have finally reached the point where I need to quit lusting after another O and learn to play the ones I have. Besides, my signature line is getting too long. I notice that several of our members with notable collections are too modest to list all of theirs in the signature. Mine is getting a bit pretentious.

Me and my Country Artist and my Custom Legend are pretty well matched - they feel like they understand me and I feel like they want to play what I'm trying to play. I always feel like the ute is laughing at me. I can't help this whole Zen thing. It's the way I am. Sorry. Maybe jeff put a hex on it so if you don't play like Richard Thompson it sulks. I'm figuring yours loves the way you sing and works just fine. Wish I could make it to the party.

I sometimes think my 1581 RI blows away the Ute but sometimes the Ute seems to win, hands down. Depends on the song and my mood. Mark, you need both (or all 3) :D
