It sure appears that mine was designed to be free floating but, like others, has some type of "gunk" (? silicon) filler. Looks good, just similar separation as the 1537. Figured it was to dampen the bass. As to # 3, asking seller to try and find the packet that came with the guitar as they sent me the packet for a 1778LX (regis card filled out for a 1778LX). And, I don't have a wrench for the truss rod for the # 3 and the CL's. Being a nice guy, I inadvertently gave away my last one. Course, with the Adamas and CL necks - will probably never need one.

Actually it feels GREAT to be free of the old monster that I created. It's like being a whole new person. Like looking in the mirror for the first time after getting a boob job. Dave

If they keep producing, the serial number will probably be six digits such as 601106 as other special orders. Will just make the early ones unique (i.e., 03)

I saw a comment about Music Store interventions immediately after I first wrote about the fluke of me popping into that store out here (1st music store visit in 5 years) at the same time the Kaman rep was there. I guess I want to know what exactly qualifies as an "intervention". :) :) Sally

The extreme would be wanting to choke the Dumba$$ out of them or tuning the O's and untuning the M's and T's.
