Location: PDX | Has anyone had a neck reshaped? I am sure it can be done, even if it means putting on a new one. I curious what the downside risks would be, or if it is a simple matter with no downside risk?
I assume too, that it should best be done at the O factory, correct?
Just curious, as the deep V neck is proving to be a challenge. Years of muscle memory is getting in the way of clean fretting.
Thanks

But you could never fatten up the edges and make it a C, for example. I'm not sure if the factory would do this, since the necks are not hand carved to begin with. Probably a local luthier (or high school woodshop class) would be a better bet. Dave |

Relax, chill, take it easy. On stuff like this, it's understood that it's just an opinion and that the final word comes from the factory. |
