evening everyone can any one tell me the ovation number for a mid depth 12 string in black and matching case I had my old CS trashed by an airline (it was in my ME11 case)and I need to give my insurers the correct numbers as they might go out and buy it..Take heed travel with good insuance !!!!

CS245-5 is the model number if it was a Celebrity.

Yeh it was, is that the current number as the only one I found while searching ealier wasnt black. Does the case have a seperate number?

The -5 indicates black. I think the ME case is model 9158.

If the case was deluxe (plush inside lining) it is a 9158. If it had a regular black felt-type lining, it is a 8158.

Thanks for the info all I have to do now is to persuade my insurers to pay out .They seem quite releived that it wasnt my ME11 in the case so I am hoping it wont be too bad . You should have seen my face when the somewhat battered case came round at baggage collection!!

Compared to the look on my face last week when the Spanish IRS hit me with a tax bill that has all but bankrupt me and has completey killed two of my buisneses the guitar incedent is being viewed as a little light relief, but hey you gotta get back up and try again.
