When I get a day off during the week it is a great opportunity to enjoy a bit of quiet or alone time. It's about the only time that isn't interrupted.

So, I put an old original Aerosmith album on the turntable and plugged in the Elite T and had some fun.

Apparently the time kind of slipped by, and before long my 17 yr old daughter came through the door from school.

"Daaaad", she complained, "that's waaay tooo loud!"

What's wrong with kids these days? :D

Yes

This was the response of my children untill the boys hit puberty and got into music; it is now only too loud if they don't approve.

My daughter never got into the music thing in a big way and is still critical of loudness

My son, who is turning 4 on Sunday, used to hate hearing music too loud. Then I started playing classic rock in the car. He now wants it louder. His favorites are: Chuck Berry's 'Jonny B. Goode', Deep Purple's 'Smoke On the Water', and any Santana.

P.S.
He has his own drum machine.

. . . and iPods (if abused, "volume-wise") will have an even more detrimental affect . . .

It's too loud for the kids, because they're not deaf yet like we are.

He's just a torso now. They tie him to the throne and he convulses back and forth, all the while hitting the drums with this forehead.
