I couldn't find anything on the Ovation site about it... and I was wondering if there were any other "custom shop" ones being introduced with this one?
Spendy little bugger, isn't it?!?!? |

Location: SoCal | they've had the Custom Legend and the Legend with the flag...obviously, this is the CL LX.
Samova has one of three CL's with the Greek flag. |

Location: Warren,Pa. | It's just a standard Custom Legend with the flag paint job. The flag isn't done in-house; it's done by a guy near the factory who does custom paint jobs on motorcycles and such. So...everything about it is "production" and was introduced a few years ago. The body gets sent to the guy( who also does the flames on the Elite T's.) They sell these special paint jobs as they're available. It's not like they're regular production that you can count on.
I think that's an interesting thing about Ovation...they're small enough to make special items in small batches as the opportunity for something unique presents itself.
What's the price on a Custom Legend? The difference between the two is what you're paying for the top finish. The ad copy says it has Schaller tuners...I'll bet they're Pings. It also has info on the OpPro AND Op 50...it probably has the OpPro.
But what do I know? John <>{ |

Location: boulder | This probably is not a LX model. I would guess that it is a misprint. But It is a custom order custom legend. They occasionally pop up on ebay. but not recently. There was a legend "usa flag" limited edition run of 75 guitars. but the CL's are custom order, and as is most all CL's, probably a great player (and for $1000 less it would be a great deal also)..peacce mike |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | It IS an LX model....squint and you can see the TRC that says "LX" on it.
I'll bet the tuners are Pings, also.....don't know if any of you have looked at a new package of Ping tuners lately....I believe it says something about being imported by KMC......
Looks like the Mothership decided to make a new run of these. Very cool looking.

Location: CT | It's definitely the LX, if you click to zoom the pic the truss rod cover is easily visible. Are pings the ones with the little O guitars stamped on the back? That's whats on my LX, and I thought they were made for Ovation by Schaller. I had a Celebrity with Pings, and they actually said 'Ping' on them. |
